We hope you will join us in Elm Grove for a fantastic evening run. Race The Twilight follows a scenic, undulating course through a beautiful, tree-covered residential area in Elm Grove and finishes on Watertown Plank Road. Race The Twilight provides competitors with a unique and unparalleled experience – you have to be there in 2014 so you do not miss out!
Lastly, but most importantly, please follow the instructions of the Volunteers and the Village Police for a safe and enjoyable experience! The Village Police and Volunteers give up their time on Race Day to provide necessary logistics support for Race The Twilight. Thank them!
Everything you need to know after you or your loved one finishes – awards, registration details, results, and other important information – will be available soon. Until then, start training for the race!
START | FINISH | AREAS
The Start for Race The Twilight is on Elm Grove Road just North of Watertown Plank Road. The Finish will be on Watertown Plank Road just West of the railroad tracks. The Registration area will be located in the parking lot at 13500 Watertown Plank Road (there is no participant or spectator parking available).
Parking will be available near the Start/Finish and Registration staging areas, as well as in Village Park. We ask that you respect private property and only park in the spots designated for the race – we have worked hard to provide adequate parking for you. Please refrain from parking along the race course, and obey all laws.
The course starts on Elm Grove Road and follows residential streets bounded by Watertown Plank Road and Highland Drive. From the start, competitors will run to Juneau Boulevard and then follow Upper Ridgeway, Circle Drive, Oakdale, and Corto to Madeira Drive. From there competitors will run down San Jose, cross Juneau, and run North on Greenway Terrace. The last mile of the race follows Hillside, Woodlawn, and Elm Grove Road before finishing in downtown Elm Grove on Watertown Plank Road.
With the exception of the section on Elm Grove Road, which is closed, please note that the roads on which the course traverses will remain partially open. Cones will be used to mark the outer boundary of the route, and we strongly suggest you carefully review the race course beforehand (formal course maps will be available soon).
Although Race The Twilight is not currently USATF certified, be assured that the 5 Km course is accurate – the course has been accurately measured based on USATF guidelines.
